Every radio on this store is currently sold as a pre-order. This page explains exactly what that means before you pay, because we would rather over-explain it now than disappoint you later.
What a pre-order means here
You are reserving a radio from a production batch that has not yet arrived with us. You are not buying an item sitting on a shelf ready to post. Pre-orders are what fund the production run.
We do not have a confirmed shipping date
We want to be straightforward about this: at the time of writing we cannot give you a firm shipping date, and we are not willing to publish an estimate we cannot stand behind.
As soon as our manufacturer commits to a date, we will email every customer who has pre-ordered. You will hear from us whether the news is good or bad.
When you are charged
In full, at the moment you place your order. This is the ordinary Shopify checkout, so payment is taken immediately rather than on dispatch.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel your pre-order at any time before it is dispatched, for any reason or none, and we will refund you in full to your original payment method. Email us with your order number and we will handle it — you do not need to justify the decision.
Refunds are issued as soon as we process the cancellation. How quickly the money appears in your account after that depends on your bank, and typically takes a few business days.
If we are delayed beyond 30 days
If we have not shipped your order within 30 days of the date you placed it, we will contact you before that point with a clear choice: keep waiting for a revised date, or cancel for a full refund. We will do the same again at any further delay.
You never have to chase us to find out where your order is. If we go quiet, something has gone wrong on our end — tell us.
Returns and warranty still apply as normal
Pre-ordering does not shorten your rights. Your 30-day return window and your one-year hardware warranty both begin on the day your radio is delivered, not the day you ordered it — however long the wait turns out to be. Full detail is on the Returns & Warranty page.
Bundles
The 2 Pack and 4 Pack are pre-orders on exactly these terms. All units in a bundle ship together in a single parcel once the batch arrives.
Prices and specification
The price you pay at checkout is locked in — if the retail price rises before your batch ships, you are not charged the difference. If the final product specification changes in any way that matters, we will tell you and give you the option to cancel.
